Who We Are & How We Got Here

We are Tim, Angie, Jesse & Brian Mizell

Our love story:

Tim and I met in 1984. We attended the same church and singles group. After meeting on a singles trip with our church, we soon became great friends. Over the next few months, our friendship grew. Before we knew it, we were best friends. Neither of us had ever looked at the other past our great friendship. After a few months, my girlfriends began to tease me, telling me that Tim and I would eventually get married. I really didn't believe them but I knew I was not into playing games with my heart so I asked him what his intentions were. You have to understand, we were in our early 20's and in the singles group we were in we had been taught not to play games in relationships. We both believed that there are 2 reasons for dating. One is for companionship and the other is looking for a mate. It is never good for one person to be looking for a friend and the other to be looking for a mate. That evening Tim looked me square in the eye and told me I was his very best friend and if it was ever anything more than that, I'd be the first to know. That night he left my house and did not call or come over for 6 weeks. I figured I had scared him off with my question but that just confirmed to me that he was not the "one" for me. I planned to just trust that the Lord would bring the right man to me when I was ready.

About 6 weeks later, we both attended the wedding of my old room mate. After the wedding, Tim asked me to go with him and a friend to have a burger. Knowing we had been friends, I agreed. Within 4 weeks he asked my dad if he could marry me and we were engaged. We married in October 1985 (exactly 1 year and 10 days after we met). We lived in Alvin, Texas (about 35 miles south of Houston).

In September of 1987 we were blessed by the birth of our first son, Jesse. In June on 1992 we were blessed by the birth of our second son, Brian. God had been very good to us.

In 2003 we were able to purchase 19 acres in the middle of Bienville National Forest, in Smith county Mississippi. This was fulfillment of a dream and a promise God had given us about 10 years earlier. This land is just across the road from my parents home and land where my dad was born and raised.

When we decided to move, we also decided to build our own home here. We are a home school family and this was a great way to give our boys an education they might never have a chance to get otherwise. We moved into our little cabin in the woods in September 2004.

After discovering what magnets did for us, (see our stories below) Tim and I started Magnetic Solutions in October 2004. This was my full time job. I handled all the phone calls, scheduled all the shows and made most of the jewelry. Tim, Jesse, Brian and sometimes my parents, Jerry and Emily Barnes would help us do shows on the weekends. In August 2006, Tim and I decided that we should both work the business full time. In September we started traveling full time and doing shows full time. We love the life we are living. We count it a privilege to get to travel together as a family and work together every day. It is exciting to watch every day to see where God will lead us and whom he will direct us to visit with. It is so great to get to share our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as well as this wonderful gift of magnets with all those we come in contact with.

Today, we are still best friends and very happily married.

Tim's story:

I was adopted by a wonderful loving family when I was an infant. The Mizells had been told that they could not have children. After adopting me, they adopted my little sister, Tonya. Then just a few years later my parents were suddenly pregnant with my little brother, Terrell. God truly blessed me with a wonderful, hand-chosen family. We always went to church, but we weren't always a Christian family. That happened in later years. I graduated from Pearland High School, in Pearland, TX in 1983. I had started working before I was 16. So once I finished high school, I just kept working.

I worked for a natural gas company in Houston, TX for 15 years. While I was with them, I attended night school at Alvin Community College and obtained a certificate in Chemical Plant Operations. After tearing my ACL in a work related accident, I had to have knee surgery. I was off work and in rehab for over a year. Only after the doctor released me did I find out that I no longer had a job. Being resourceful and following God's leading I began working doing home remodeling and repair. I continued in that line of work until we moved to Mississippi. The boys and I would come to Mississippi on weekends and any time we could find to work on building our house. I started working for a company in Bay Springs, MS in June of 2004 and continued working on the house after hours and on the weekends. In August of 2006 I left my full time job and started working full time with Angie at Magnetic Solutions.

Back in October of 2004 we were at the Mississippi State Fair when I saw a booth selling magnetic jewelry. I was curious so I stopped and asked questions. I put on a bracelet and immediately experienced a relief in the pain I had in my thumb. I had broken it several years earlier and every time I grasped with it or pushed down with my thumb I had severe pain.

Angie's story:

I was raised in a wonderful Christian home. I have one sister, Melissa. We have always been close and are to this day. My parents are still happily married after over 44 years. I graduated from Alvin High School, in Alvin, TX in 1980. I attended college at West Texas State University which is now West Texas A & M, in Canyon, TX. After one semester in Canyon and a spinal fracture in a horseback riding accident, I moved home. I got a job working in a physical therapy clinic in Houston. I liked it so much I decided to apply to Physical Therapy Assistant school in Houston. I was accepted and graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1983. I practiced as a Licensed Physical Therapist Asst. for the next 20 years. I still keep my license active to this day. I loved working as a therapist and helping people every day. Once we decided to home school our boys, I slowly decreased my patient load until I could stay home full time with them.

In December of 2000 I felt that God was directing me to get my real estate license. Tim's family owns Rojean Realty in Pearland, TX and his mom is the Real Estate Broker for the company. Because I already had a degree, I was able to take 3 thirty hour courses and then was eligible to sit for my licensing exam. I passed on the first try. I sold real estate for the next 3 1/2 years. Each year I was a multi-million dollar producer. I also was the vice-president of administration for the company. What great experience to prepare me for owning my own business. I left real estate in August of 2004 when we moved to Mississippi.

While building our home, I pulled a muscle in my right shoulder that caused me to experience numbness down my right arm. I tried everything to wake my arm up. I did exercises, went to the chiropractor, and took medication but nothing worked. After 6 weeks of numbness we were at the Mississippi State Fair and happened upon a booth selling magnetite jewelry. They said that their jewelry could help with numbness as well. Tim was interested but I thought it looked like a scam. Since I had practiced Physical Therapy for about 20 years this didn't make sense to me. Tim insisted that I try it. After much protest, I agreed. Within 15 minutes of putting a bracelet on I could feel my fingertips. That was the most feeling I had experienced in 6 weeks. After about 3 days all the feeling in my arm had returned. What I quickly noticed was that the carpal tunnel syndrome I had experienced in both hands was gone. I then realized that I had not had a migraine headache since I started wearing the magnets. I had suffered from migraine headaches for over 15 years and now suddenly they were gone. After we started to sell the magnets I decided if I was going to really help people I had to try to let the magnets fix all my ailments. To do this, I would have to try to go without the medicine I had been taking for over 5 years to help me sleep at night. Before magnets, I could fall asleep easily, but I would wake up after about 3 hours and could not fall back asleep. So, one night after about a month of wearing the magnets, I did not take my medicine. To my surprise, I woke up in the morning and had slept 8 full hours. And lastly, I have a family history of arthritis. At my age, I had just begun to suffer from intermittent arthritis pain. Since wearing the magnets I have not had any stiffness and essentially no arthritis pain.

I use magnets like most people use pain medicine. One night while traveling out of town, I got an ear ache. I had no medicine and no drops to put in my ear. I wrapped a double bracelet around my ear and then put my ear against my pillow for warmth. I fell asleep like that and when I woke up in the morning,my ear ache was gone. Another time I was experiencing severe congestion in my sinuses. I took my double bracelet off and laid it across my face over my sinuses. Within just a few minutes, my sinuses opened up and my headache disappeared.

I am truly blessed.

Jesse's story:

Hey, I'm Jesse and I'm the oldest son of Tim and Angie Mizell. My story starts like any other normal teenage boy. I've always liked cars and anything that went fast or could get muddy. In the summer of 2002, after I had grown 12 inches in 12 months, I had excruciating knee pain. We learned that I had a birth defect that had caused my knees to not be able to grow and expand with the rest of my body. I had plica in both knee joints. After recovering from 2 knee surgeries to have the plica removed, (as an indestructible teenager) I was racing a friend through a muddy field on our 600 pound, 4 wheeler. The turn I took was not made for the speed I was going so the 4 wheeler rocked up on 2 wheels. I stuck my foot out to stop it from turning over and broke my knee in 4 places and ripped the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) out of the bone. After another surgery, I spent the next 6 weeks in a cast from my hip to my toes. After 6 months of physical therapy and exercising at home (remember my mom's a physical therapist so there's no escape), I still had excessive swelling and serious pain with any prolonged activities. At about this time, my parents discovered magnetic jewelry and made me buy a double bracelet for myself. After 45 minutes, I could tell a difference in the pain and at the end of 2 weeks all the swelling was gone.

I am now 20 years old and attend Applied Life Christian College in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I wear a single necklace and a triple bracelet every day and I have very minimal pain in my knee and no swelling. You couldn't pay me to give up my magnetic jewelry.

Brian's story:

Hi, I'm Brian, the youngest son of Tim and Angie Mizell. In October of 2001, I began having abdominal pains. We learned about 6 months later that all my pain was caused by an allergy to mold. We didn't know it at the time but the sewer system under our home had failed causing mold to grow in the walls of our home. We moved out of our home but my pain continued. Eventually I had an endoscopy done and they found that everything from my throat to my rectum was swollen and that was a reaction to a mold allergy. I took medication and even changed my diet, but my pain did not go away. When Mom and Dad found magnetic jewelry they made my buy a piece just to see if it might help. Within 4 days I felt my pain decreased and by the end of the first week it was completely gone. I wear a 4 stranded bracelet and a single necklace each day. I have found that if I happen to forget my jewelry my pain will eventually return. The longer I wear it the longer I can go without it before my pain comes back. No one could convince me not to wear magnetic jewelry

It truly has changed my life.
